South Wales Police have issued an appeal for information after a Portmead woman died in an accident involving a Yamaha motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta car on Mynydd Newydd Road around 8.50pm on Monday (1 April).
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle road traffic collision which happened at around 8.50pm on Monday April 1 on Mynydd Newydd Riad, Swansea.
“The collision involved a Yamaha motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta.
“Despite the efforts of the medical team at scene, the rider of the motorcycle, a 46-year-old woman from the Portmead area of Swansea, was pronounced deceased a short time later. Her family is being supported by specially trained officers.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam footage to contact us quoting occurrence number 2400105620.”
