The Champion Brewers pub on Martin Street in Morriston has been empty for some time. Now, new plans have been proposed to turn the building into 6 one-bedroom flats.

The plans are in an early ‘pre-planning’ stage, which are designed for developers to get feedback from Swansea Council’s planning officers on proposals prior to a full application being made.

Proposals include replacement UPVC windows, a two-storey side extension featuring a composite cladding wall, a single-storey rear extension and new slate roof.

No parking has been allocated for the site, however there are good local public transport links into both Morriston and Swansea with several bus services serving the development.

Planning officers will now consider the proposals and provide feedback to the developers, who can incorporate any feedback into any future full planning application.
