Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the west Wales derby at Parc y Scarlets on Friday evening, head coach Dwayne Peel says he will assess Murray.
The Scarlets fans player of the season is having a scan on a leg injury sustained in the 21-17 United Rugby Championship victory over Cardiff at the Arms Park on the weekend.
“We are waiting on results from him,” said Peel. He didn’t train today so we sent him away for a scan, so we will see what happens from that.
“He seemed pretty sore, but we will see how that pans out.”
Fly-half Costelow will also sit out of the match between the bottom two current sides of the URC with an ankle injury, whilst captain Macleod will sit out the game after the flanker went off in Cardiff with a head injury in the second half.
However, fellow back-row forward Taine Plumtree is back in the mix after being out since suffering a rib injury for Wales against South Africa in November.
“Costi is not going to be available. He hurt his ankle in training last week and is disappointed. He is going to be out for a good few weeks.
“Josh is HIA [Head Injury Assessment] from the game as well, but Taine Plumtree is back in the mix.
Scarlets and Ospreys will name their teams at midday on Christmas Eve.
