Joshua Pope, of Bryn Parc, Morriston, was escorted off a flight from Marrakesh by South Wales Police officers just before 1am on Sunday 9 June, following an investigation into the Oscar drug line, which was supplying crack cocaine and heroin in Swansea.
Pope’s arrest followed detailed phone forensics, which linked his personal device to a second phone used to send bulk messages offering Class A drugs. Officers were able to track both phones on journeys across the UK, confirming Pope’s involvement.

The Oscar line had previously been disrupted in 2024, when another man — known to Pope — was convicted and jailed for seven and a half years. However, police later discovered the line had resumed operations, this time with Pope at the helm.
He was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin, and pleaded guilty. On 30 June, he appeared at Swansea Crown Court, where he was sentenced to three years in prison.
South Wales Police released footage of the arrest, showing officers boarding the aircraft and escorting Pope off the plane.
