28-year-old Sean Rowles from Penlan was stopped by police in Uplands on 16 April and was found to be in possession of a mobile phone tied to ongoing drug-related text messages.
He was then taken into custody, where a bag containing a large white rock and powder were found stashed in his underwear. This later tested positive for crack cocaine.
Swansea Crown Court heard that Rowles had been released from prison on licence just two months before his latest arrest. He had been jailed in June 2024 for 40 months for the supply of crack cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
Rowles was recalled to prison following his arrest to serve the remainder of his previous sentence.
At Swansea Crown Court Rowles pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and has been sentenced to a further four years in prison. He has 25 previous convictions for 41 offences.
PC Corey Morris from South Wales Police said: “Sean Rowles knew that he was involved in the supply of Class A drugs, but was so determined to avoid the repercussions that he attempted to claim the drugs belonged to his partner.
“Much like any other drug dealer, Sean is a selfish individual who only cares about his financial bottom line and not at all about the impact the drugs he supplies has on the wider community.
“There is no place for drug dealers like Sean in our society, and he is rightfully starting a good spell in prison.”
