Leo Payne, 20 from Swansea appeared before Swansea Magistrates Court this morning where he was remanded into custody.
Police say their investigation is ongoing and have appealed for potential witnesses to come forward to provide information into the crimes which happened during the early hours of Sunday June 23 in Swansea city centre.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said:
“We would like to reassure members of public that such incidents will always be robustly dealt with by South Wales Police.
“The investigation is ongoing and we are keen to trace and speak to a woman who had an interaction with a man whilst walking alone on Mariner Street, Swansea, which is located near to the railway station, at approximately 6:15am on Sunday, June 23.
“We also want to trace anyone who may have witnessed this incident or knows the identity of the woman in question to contact SWP, quoting police occurrence number 2400207185.”
