The Secret Hospitality Group x Gower College Swansea Academy aims to raise the profile of hospitality as a rewarding career choice while creating direct pathways for learners.
The Secret Hospitality Group runs venues across Swansea, including The Secret Beach Bar and Kitchen, The Lighthouse Bar and Kitchen, Rok Mumbles, The Green Room, and Verdi’s Mumbles.
The Academy aims to raise the profile of hospitality careers by showcasing the diversity and opportunity within the sector through community engagement and success stories that challenge common misconceptions.
It says it aims to create opportunities for learners by offering hands-on work experience, paid employment, and mentoring opportunities to empower Gower College Swansea students with practical skills, confidence and industry connections.
The Academy say that by supporting recruitment and workforce development it will providing The Secret Hospitality Group with a pipeline of well-trained, motivated talent prepared to meet the evolving demands of the hospitality workforce.
It also says that by collaborating it aims to add social value, engaging in community-focused initiatives such as events, school outreach, and promoting sustainable and inclusive hospitality practices.
It will also develop cutting-edge training programs, workshops, and resources that align with the latest trends and needs in hospitality.
