27-year-old Oliver Smith has been sentenced to three years in prison following a number of sexual assaults in Singleton Park and Bishopston area in February this year.
He was also given a sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register for the rest of his life.
Smith had already admitted 10 charges of intentionally touching women in a sexual nature, one of touching a girl under 13 and another of attempting to touch a woman.
The court heard that he told police “he gets angry about females wearing Lycra”.
Detective Inspector Gareth Jones said: “Oliver Smith’s offending has caused his victims significant fear and distress and I hope this sentencing brings them some comfort and shows the seriousness of his actions.
“Everyone has the right to go about their life without being harassed or assaulted.
“I praise these women and teenagers for coming forward and speaking to police. South Wales Police will not tolerate sexual abuse in any form, and we will do all we can to bring perpetrators to justice.”
