The winner will meet either Italy or Northern Ireland in the final, to be played at the Cardiff City Stadium, for a place at next year’s World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Wales face off against a Bosnia side ranked 71 in the latest FIFA rankings, which finished second in Group H after winning five of their eight qualifying games behind winners Austria.
In the four previous meetings the two sides have met, the Balkan nation have remained unbeaten against Wales with two wins and two draws. The last time the two sides met in Cardiff, they played out a goalless draw in the qualifying campaign for Euro 2016, back in October 2014.
The semi-finals will take place on 26 March and the finals on 31 March. All matches are one-legged.
The draw for the World Cup will take place on 5 December in Washington DC.
