Jay Fulton came the closest to breaking the deadlock in the opening minutes of the first half seeing his half-volley tipped onto the post by home goalkeeper James Beadle.
That would be as good as it got for the Swans whose misfiring attack lacked spark and invention in the final third of the pitch. Ronald squandering the visitor’s best opportunity in the second period when well placed taking an extra touch when a first-time effort may have been the more threatening option.
Wednesday would look the more likely victors as the contest went on, coming closest to finding the net when Pol Valentin got in at the far post late on but saw his shot ricochet to safety off the upright.
The latest stalemate means Swansea’s winless run now stands at five matches, while they have not scored a goal in more than seven hours of football.
Luke Williams’ team will take some satisfaction from the draw given their struggles away from home so far this season. Just two goals have been scored in the solitary win on their travels over Coventry last month in six games with four single-goal defeats alongside the draw in Yorkshire.
A point is enough to keep the Swans 13th in the table and is something says Williams but the Londoner has now challenged his side to make more of an impression in the opposition box.

“Of course, there’s frustration [over not scoring] because you cannot win without scoring a goal,” said Williams after the match.
“But I am backing the players that we have in the squad to start finding the back of the net.
“It was typical atmosphere here. It’s a very tough place to play and we had to cope with a lot of direct play.
“We deserved that point, and we certainly had a tough game.
“I don’t think a point is quite enough to satisfy anyone, but we deserved at least a point, so we take that.
“For us, the way we try to play, the pitch can be quite difficult. We coped well enough with the game, but it wasn’t a classic by any means.
“It is the difference for us at the moment. If we can start converting those chances, we have a very different season. That is the challenge for us as a group.
“We’ve shown that we can handle the ball and control games, that we are tough and can defend our goal properly.
“Now we need to be more ruthless in the opposition box and we then have a very different team on our hands.
“If I knew exactly how to solve the problem, it would have been solved already. Today we’ve hit the woodwork and sometimes that’s how close you can come.
“We can’t wait now to be back at home in front of our own fans. It has been a tough schedule this week and now we have something really exciting to look forward to.”
