Lidl planning new store in Blackpill

Budget supermarket Lidl have announced plans to build a new store on the site of the former Halfway Garage on Mumbles Road in Blackpill.
Still at an early stage, the ‘Pre-App’ enquiry tests the waters with city planners before a full planning application is submitted.
The 0.89 acre sits has already been cleared, with all signs of the former petrol station now long gone.
The prominent site, near Ashley Road playing fields has stood empty for a number of years.
Lidl’s proposed 1,795 sq.m store would be joined by a 1,70 sq.m drive-thru unit if approved.
