Stacey Bramhall of Gower based Impress PR, in collaboration with Ella Slee, Mumbles PT and fitness coach and founder of Functional Fitness, are thrilled to announce the launch of Wales’ first Freelance Mum networking hub for women in business in Swansea.
The group will meet once a month on a Thursday to ‘netwalk’ along Mumbles Seafront, for fresh air and focus questions and enables mums in business to network and (crucially) bring their children.

Not only does Freelance Mum offer networking, but the connections made offer invaluable support to many women who juggle running their businesses and parenting. The group also provides an active online community of support and cheerleaders for women in business, with weekly online coffee mornings and member-led sessions where all hub members across the country can come together and connect.
The idea of ‘netwalking’ with children, was created by founder, Faye Dicker in 2013 in Bristol, after her own need juggling motherhood around her voiceover work. There wasn’t a network that supported parents in business, so she created Freelance Mum. There are now 10 hubs across the UK and a digital hub launched in January.
The Swansea launch event will take place on Thursday, March 6th at 10:00am meeting outside Croeso Lounge, Oyster Wharf, Mumbles with meetings held every first Thursday of the month during school term times.
This dynamic initiative aims to create a supportive and collaborative environment for Mum entrepreneurs in the Swansea area to connect, promote, and network with children in tow or at school.

Faye Dicker, Founder of Freelance Mum said:
“The fresh air and focus questions are an important part of Freelance Mum, it’s well recognised the importance of connecting with nature for our well-being and clarity.
“In a world where everything can feel fast-paced, it’s even more important to take some time out and connect with fellow business owners on the same page.
“The focus questions keep the conversation on track and help members get the most from the sessions.”

Co-owner Stacey Bramhall added:
“We understand the unique challenges faced by freelance mums juggling work and family life.
“Freelance Mum provides a valuable platform for women to connect, share experiences, and learn from each other while growing their businesses.
“When I moved to Swansea this summer, I really missed going to Freelance Mum networks in Bristol so I wanted to bring them to Mumbles”
“Our goal is to build a strong sense of community for mums in business, to provide support and connection which will help mums in business thrive.”
