Armed Forces Day is a national, annual event to show support for the service of men and women in the British Armed Forces.
The local bus operator says it’s free travel offer, back for the sixth year, will help serving and retired members of the armed forces travel on this important day.
Rob Pymm, Commercial Director for First West of England, the parent company of First Cymru said: “Armed Forces Day is an important occasion for so many people across the UK, celebrating the incredible service that military personnel provide, and most importantly, remembering those who have been lost in service.
“We’re a committed supporter of the communities we serve, and are proud to help members of the armed forces travel in our region to mark this special date.”
The bus company said that free travel is available anywhere in the First Cymru region on Saturday 24 June for members of the armed forces either in uniform or who present a valid identification card. It’s also valid for members of the cadet forces in uniform, and veterans who display valid identification such as the MOD-issued Veteran’s Badge.
