The Swans had twice led in the match, first through Harry Darling’s early goal and then when Liam Cullen struck just before half-time.
Leeds turned the contest around to lead 3-2 before Florian Bianchini’s 90th-minute goal appeared to have rescued a point for Williams’ side, only for Italy international Gnonto to have the final word and send the Lilywhites top of the table.
Conceding so late in the game to lose for the second matchday running frustrated Williams. The former Notts County boss, however, would admit he couldn’t complain that Daniel Farke’s side took all three points despite a strong showing from his own players.

“I am pleased with almost all of the game in terms of performance, but the result is really difficult to accept,” said the Swans boss after the game.
“The quality of Leeds was the difference and the reason we didn’t get anything from the game.
“If you watch the replay of our third goal, I don’t celebrate much because of the opposition and the fact we concede a lot of late goals.
“I thought we might hold out, but Leeds made a brilliant action and punished us.
“The performance certainly doesn’t look like anything less than a team that’s top half at least.
“They made great actions and opened us up and scored goals. They caused us a lot of problems and I think we caused them a few problems also.”
“I certainly don’t feel like we looked miles apart from Leeds, that we should be 14th and Leeds top.
“I don’t think this is the game where I can say we should have won, absolutely not. But there have been plenty where I have felt we have done more than enough to win, and we haven’t done that.”
