The Swans come into the match with seven points from the last nine available looking to build on their recent upturn in form which has brought renewed confidence in the camp.
Next up Williams’ team are pitted against an out-of-sorts Bristol City side sitting just one place and point above them in the Championship after four defeats on the bounce have pulled the Robins into the relegation scrap.
Whilst results have been better for the Swans, the form of several of the chasing pack at the bottom end of the table means the gap between the bottom three remains just six points with eight sides locked in a scrap that looks likely to go to the wire.
Williams though, unaffected by the results of others is focused on his own side and is keen to carry on the standards set to build momentum.

“We need to make sure we remember to concentrate and focus on everything that makes a good performance,” said Williams.
“We have won two games and drawn one, but we have to keep going, that’s what we are learning.
“We have to set our standards as high as possible and grow game on game because, unless we keep doing our jobs, it’s impossible for anything else to change as we move forward.
“The fans would say the key things you want to see from the players is first and foremost to die for the badge, put their body on the line and take the big hits.
“I think that is at the top of the list and these guys are doing it incredibly well at the moment.
“They also have great quality with the ball as well and can express themselves in that way as well. I think you can buy into these guys, these characters – the way they sacrifice themselves, I love that.
“This game is a derby in a different way but is still going to be a spicey affair for the players and the fans.
“It will be difficult tactically and physically. We expect that from a tough Championship game, but with the added emotion around it, so it should be very enjoyable.
“They have a really modern-thinking manager and will be organised. They have several different tactics to cause problems for us when we have the ball and when they have the ball.

Williams revealed there are no new injury problems from the 1-1 draw against Watford at Vicarage Road on Wednesday night with forward Jamal Lowe returning to action from the substitutes bench.
Full back Josh Key was also amongst the replacements in London but has yet to feature since the turn of the year having suffered with muscular issues since December. Williams explained the defender is fit but is keen to protect the former Exeter player considering his time away from the side.
“We have a few normal knocks after a game, but nothing serious, we have a good squad to select from, continued Williams.
“The players who are returning are doing well. Jamal’s physical data was amazing because he made the most high-speed running, he has done in a game this season from just 35 minutes.
“I loved how he applied himself, so it’s great to have him back as we missed him. He came through fine; we are happy he is back quickly and in a good place.
“I would love to get Josh Key on the pitch, but it needs to be the right moment. He is a player I need to learn as much as I can about, and hopefully we can get him good minutes at the right moment.
“Hopefully, we will come away with the points and the bragging rights, which would be the perfect week for us.
“I’m looking forward to it. It’s going to be a tough game, but the atmosphere is going to be great.”
