The 25-year-old Llandeilo product made his debut against Exeter in 2017 and has gone on to make 62 appearances for the club, scoring six tries.

A dynamic, athletic runner, Davis’ workrate and tenacity over the ball has made him an integral member of the senior squad.

Speaking on the new deal Davis said:

“Scarlets have had some incredible number sevens over the years and it is a privilege to be wearing the same jersey.

“I played my junior rugby with Llandeilo, was part of the Academy here and have learned from some great Scarlets what it means to represent this club.

“It is a special feeling playing out here in front of our home fans. There is a real desire to push the club forward over the coming years and I am excited to be part of that.

“We are a young squad and there is a lot of talent coming through the age-grades at the moment. All the boys here are working hard and I am sure the results will come.

“We have fantastic support here and we want to bring those fans the success they deserve.”

Scarlets head coach Dwayne Peel pleased with the new renewal said:

“Dan is a big part of our plans moving forward, a great athlete with quick feet, who can make things happen.

“He is another of our players who has come through the ranks here and understands the Scarlets ethos. Like Tom [Rogers], who has also signed a new deal, we feel there is a lot more growth to come from him, he has been at the club a while now, but he is still only 25.

“It’s fantastic that he has signed a new contract and I look forward to seeing how he develops within this group over the coming years.”
