Despite dominating the contest for large periods with the lion’s share of possession and having 20 shots at goal, the Swans would have to settle for a comeback point for the second game in a row.
Forward Elijah Adebayo had given the Hatters the lead from an acute angle in the 17th minute having punished Ben Cabango’s poor back pass to slot past Lawrence Vigouroux against the run of play.
The Swans, however, would rally and be worthy of at least a point with Thomas Kaminski in the Luton goal the far busier of the two shot stoppers pulling a string of saves from Goncalo Franco, Josh Key, and Zan Vipotnik as the Swans pushed for an equaliser.
Matt Grimes was the man to get Williams’ side back on level terms smashing in an effort at the mid-point of the second half. The Swans captain executing perfectly from the edge of the penalty area from a well-worked corner routine.
With momentum firmly with the away side, Kaminski would however be the thorn in the Swans assault and be at his best to foil a late assault.
The Belgian international goalkeeper adding to his save count by denying substitute Florian Bianchini as the Swans looked the most likely to snatch the points.
It would for the second game running be honours even at the end of the match for the Swans leaving Williams with food for thought.

“We could have come away with all the points, but we gave away a sloppy goal so therefore we rode our luck a little bit,” said the Swans boss after the game.
“We were two goals behind against Portsmouth and then a goal behind today, so we are making hard work of these games, but we certainly deserved at least a point.
“We started the game brilliantly well; the first half was a strong performance against a tough opposition and in the second half there was no let-up from the lads.
“I think they really deserved their goal for throwing everything forward.
“I think we should be confident in ourselves because we know how difficult it is to play here [at Luton] in the Championship and the conditions made it even more challenging.
“We made a really strong performance so we should be confident and go into the next game feeling positive we can win a game of football away from home again.”
Williams also took time to pay tribute to his ‘incredible’ skipper Grimes who he felt delivered at both ends of the pitch.
“He [Matt Grimes] deserves every bit of credit he gets,” continued Williams.
“He scores an incredible goal and then in the 95th minute he runs half the length of the pitch to cover the counter attack.
“He is a class act, and we are incredibly lucky to have him.
“It was another master class from Alan Sheehan [Matt Grimes’ rehearsed goal]. I watched it on the video yesterday and this morning and it was the exact action.
“The ball from Tymon is brilliant and the finish from the skipper is incredible. You have to have a lot of quality to do that, and we know he’s certainly not short of that.
“It was a really well-worked routine from Shee’s and the boys. I’m very satisfied to see that go in.”
