The long awaited opening of the discount chain’s second store on the main A483 dual-carriageway took place on Saturday (3 June).
The 29,610sqft store on Pontarddulais Road has undergone a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme since its former life as two separate units, housing Argos and Curry’s stores.
The new B&M store also boasts a 4,865sqft. garden centre selling hundreds of plant varieties and gardening essentials.
Store colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Action for Children Swansea to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

The charity provides housing-related support in the home to young parents and expectant parents aged 16-25, and their children.
B&M say that in addition to opening the store, the team will also receive £250 worth of B&M vouchers, which will go towards helping the charity to continue doing the great work they do.
The store manager, said: “It was really exciting to welcome customers through the doors; the feedback so far has been fantastic.”
“A big thank you to the team at Action for Children Swansea who helped us open the store, we hope that our donation can help them to continue to do the great work they do.”
