Emerging from the Ospreys academy, 20-year-old Lloyd made his debut for the region against Connacht in this season’s United Rugby Championship opener and has since made six appearances for the first team.
The young hooker was one of the standout performers for Wales under-20s in their recent Rugby World Cup campaign impressing over six appearances for them in total.
Commenting on the contract signing head coach, Toby Booth said:
“It’s great that Lew has committed his future to the club. We’ve been really impressed with his development since the start of the season and believe he has only scratched the surface of his potential.”
Lloyd delighted with the deal added:
“I am over the moon to sign this deal with the Ospreys. This club has been my home, and the support I’ve received from the coaches, teammates and fans has been incredible. I’m determined to work even harder and contribute to the team’s success in the years to come.”
The hooker is the latest re-signing amongst a plethora of young talent that have already committed their future to the Ospreys in recent weeks with the club focused on competing at the highest level, whilst bringing through young talent.
