Dramatic new development could be set for Llanelli town centre

A new shopping arcade, restaurants, apartments and offices could be heading to Market Street in Llanelli town centre.
‘Y Linc’ will connect Eastgate to the St Elli shopping centre and the town centre beyond.

The plans by Cygnus Holdings (Llanelli) Ltd would see the demolition of Tom Peppers nightclub, and the next door Captain Nemo’s pub which has stood empty for a number of years.
Proposals includes new public spaces and green ‘living walls’ on the building.
The £3m development has been designed by former Llanelli Town Mayor, David Darkin, owner of Darkin Architects.

Mr Darkin says: “Recognisable brands such as Juniper Place and Old Havana are due to take up units at the development.”
Asbri planning consultants are holding an online public consultation on the plans until December 10.
