Police appeal for information after fatal Port Talbot crash

South Wales Police are appealing for information after a fatal road traffic accident on Harbour Way in Port Talbot.

The collision, between a Skoda Octavia and a Ford Fiesta, took place at around 2.40pm on Tuesday (27 September) on the eastbound carriageway of the A4241 Harbour Way.

Police report that despite the best efforts of the attending emergency services the driver of the Fiesta died at scene.

The driver of the Skoda was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

In a statement, South Wales Police said: “The road was closed for several hours whilst investigation work was carried out, and we want to thank the public affected by the closure for their patience and understanding.

“We are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to contact us.

“We want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any dash-cam footage, or who stopped to provide assistance at the scene, or anyone who may have seen the manner in which either vehicle was being driven prior to the collision and who has not yet come forward.
