Independent housebuilder Dandara has recently acquired a new site at Ffos Las racecourse close to Kidwelly, which will house its new Golwg Gwendraeth development.
Coming in Autumn 2022, the development will provide 141 new two, three and four-bedroom homes.

Dandara say its new homes, located near the recently completed Persimmon development at Ffos Las Racecourse, will be surrounded by picturesque Carmarthenshire countryside. Boasting outstanding views over Carmarthen Bay, the site is an idyllic place for country lovers, with multiple walks and woodland such as Coed Ffos Las just around the corner.
All houses will feature open-plan living areas, high specification kitchens with appliances, and contemporary bathrooms; offering plenty of flexibility whether buyers live alone, with a partner or children.
The area around the development is rich in heritage. The Coed Ffos Las woodland was planted on the slopes of the Gwendraeth Valley as a memorial to lives lost in the First World War, whilst the nearest town, Kidwelly, is home to medieval castles and the oldest canal in Wales.

Martin Smith, Managing Director at Dandara Wales & West, comments: “We expect this site will be in high demand due to its rural location and open spaces. Golwg Gwendraeth will be particularly ideal for families, who will be able to walk to Carway School in just ten minutes.”
A short drive away, the market town of Llanelli will provide residents with multiple supermarkets, restaurants, cafés, and pubs. In the summer, homebuyers will be able to take advantage of seaside walks at Burry Port beach, just five miles from the development.

Golwg Gwendraeth will have excellent transport links. Kidwelly railway station is only a 10-minute drive, with trains heading west towards Carmarthen and the Pembrokeshire coast, and to Swansea and Cardiff in the east.
For those travelling by road, the B4308 will take you straight into Llanelli in about 15 minutes.
