Uplands hair and beauty salon in running to be named best in Wales
Dolly Rocks Hair & Beauty in Swansea’s Uplands has been shortlisted in the Hair & Beauty Salon of the Year category at the Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards.

Voted for by the public and with more than 20,000 nominations received, the awards seek to recognise and commend the efforts, tireless work and success of people working in the hair and beauty industry.
The black-tie event will take place on Sunday 14th May 2023 at The Cardiff City Stadium. The stars that set to redefine our hair, skin and make-up look with their transformative formulas and boundary-breaking innovation will gather to celebrate their success and the growth of the industry.
Jodie Lerwill from Dolly Rocks Hair & Beauty said: “I am beyond thrilled and proud to be nominated for such an award, after winning gold awards in previous and also being a finalist for hair extension specialist of the year within other awards coming up. To be shortlisted as one of the best salons in Wales is an honour and a dream come true.
“I have been within the industry for many years, it is only within the last year that I have opened up my own salon, to win this award would be the cherry on top of a fantastic first year.
“I am flattered that my fabulous clients have voted for me and my salon. To transform people’s confidence and make them feel beautiful is so rewarding.
“Taking the leap to run my salon hasn’t been an easy ride. Opening up alongside being a mum of two young children has had its challenges, but this year proves a big success already and I will continue to strive towards some big goals, whilst giving my clients new and old the best luxury experience, within a friendly and homely environment.
“I am excited to see where this year takes Dolly Rocks Salon.”
Dolly Rocks Hair & Beauty will find out if they will be crowned winners at the elegant ceremony taking place in May.
A spokesperson for The Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards 2023 said: “Some of the most iconic stylists, beauticians and well-known salons got shortlisted in this year’s Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards, making it a really fierce competition.
“The 2023 finalists have demonstrated exceptional skills, creativity, and professionalism in their work. They have received glowing reviews from clients, made significant contributions to the industry, and developed innovative techniques leading to inspire others in their field.
“We can’t wait to welcome all our guests and deliver an enjoyable event. We would like to wish all finalists the best of luck.”
