After undergoing a medical at the clubs Fairwood base, the 21-year-old Dutchman has become Swans head-coach Michael Duff’s eighth addition of an active summer transfer window following the attacking arrivals of Jerry Yates, Josh Ginnelly, Mikola Kuharevich and Charlie Patino, plus the defensive additions of Josh Key, Harrison Ashby and goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.

Tjoe-A-On will provide Duff with a much-needed left-footed option to his defense and will compete with Key and Azeem Abdulai to fill the void left at wing-back by the departed Ryan Manning and will where the clubs number 21 shirt.

The Rotterdam-born product had made 47 appearances for the Eredivisie side helping them to promotion to the Dutch top-flight in 2022 and is highly rated in the Netherlands.

Delighted with the move, Tjoe-A-On feels he can both improve playing in South Wales and believes the club can meet his ambitions of playing in the Premier League.

“I’m really happy that it is done and I’m here now and that the clubs have found a solution and agreement. It’s a really big club, everyone in the Netherlands knows about it,” said Tjoe-A-On.

“When they gave me a presentation and told me the story about the club and what they want to achieve, the facilities and everything, it was not difficult.

“I am still young; I can improve a lot. I think this is the right place for me.

“I spoke with one player from the Netherlands that played here, [Jonathan] De Guzman. He told me that the people are really nice here, it is a good club and there is a nice stadium.

“I am a left back who plays in a four or five at the back. I like to get forward, but I can defend also. I feel comfortable on the ball and like to play football.
