Leigh and Claire have joined 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio for Breakfast, with Siany taking drivetime and a double helping of Kev Johns as the Nation Radio-owned station invests in local talent.

Leigh and Claire, who have been broadcasting across Swansea and South West Wales since 2017, are the new breakfast hosts at 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio.

At the same time, popular former Wave presenter Siany joins the 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio team for the weekday drive home show – the same slot she hosted for many years at The Wave.

Swansea Sound legend Kev Johns takes an extra show in the schedule, adding Saturday mornings to his existing popular Sunday show and local presenter Phil Hoyles takes weekday mornings.

The huge investment in additional local programming comes as all locally presented programme has ended at Leigh and Claire’s former station, 96.4FM The Wave.

Leigh Jones said; “I’m so excited to have a new home for our Breakfast Show, I look forward to bringing a fresh new sound to the listeners of Swansea Bay Radio and a familiar sound to our already strong breakfast show family.”

Claire Scott said; “We’ve made the switch and would love our listeners to join us for breakfast every weekday on 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio.  I can’t wait to have some laughs and play great music on Swansea, Neath, Port Talbot and South Carmarthenshire’s local station.”

Siany said; “Entertaining my home city at drive time and helping my community? That’s always been the dream. Let’s go, Swansea!”

Kev Johns said; “ I’m thrilled to be part of the lineup of the new 102.1 Swansea Bay Radio and am excited at what this means for our great city.  I’m so happy to be working once again with dear friends Leigh Jones, Claire Scott, Phil Hoyles and Siany! We all love our city and can’t wait for to turn up the local!”

Swansea Bay Radio’s Commercial Director Elen Oliver said; “Swansea is one of the original local radio markets and we know that there’s a real opportunity for us now that we are the only remaining local commercial radio station. I know that and Leigh, Claire and Siany will be brilliant additions to the line up and will help us deliver our business growth ambitions in South West Wales.”

Swansea Bay Radio is available on 102.1FM, DAB Digital Radio, online at nationplayer.com on the Nation Player mobile app and by searching Swansea Bay Radio.
