A report that a driver was being chased and threatened with a stabbing led police to a haul of drugs they value at around £118,000.
Cameron Davies, 23, of Llangunnor, has been jailed for two years and ten months.
Dyfed-Powys Police say officers found more than half a kilo of cocaine, almost six kilos of cannabis and more than 600 MDMA tablets at an address linked to him, along with more than £24,000 in cash.
A “zombie” knife and an axe were found in one of the vehicles involved.
How a death threat report on 18 July led officers to Cameron Davies
On Saturday 18 July, the force received a report that a driver had been followed by a car and a bike.
Police say those following kicked the vehicle and threatened to stab the driver if they did not get out. The driver fled to a nearby farm.
Officers attended, and the car and bike, which the force says were linked to Davies, were seen speeding away.
Davies was already known to officers as someone suspected of supplying drugs. The force says intelligence gathered before the incident let it find both vehicles quickly, unattended outside an address linked to him.
“Both engines were still warm,” the force said, and units moved to block them in. More officers arrived, went into the property and arrested him.

Davies was charged with possession with intent to supply illegal drugs and remanded in custody. He was sentenced at Swansea Crown Court on 8 September.
The police statement does not say which drugs the charge covered. It also does not say whether anyone has been charged over the threats or the weapons.
The £118,000 street value is the force’s own estimate.
DC Steven Thomas said: “We’re committed to make Dyfed-Powys a hostile area to people who deal drugs and this is a positive step towards that goal.”
“The intelligence we built around Davies helped us to disrupt a clear supply network and take a considerable number of illegal drugs off our streets,” he said. “This work isn’t unique to Davies, and we’ll continue to deal with anyone involved in supplying illegal drugs robustly.”
