The arrest comes as shocking footage of the alleged assault of a bus driver on-board a bus was circulated on social media.
Police Sergeant Carys Pudner said: “We are aware of footage of the incident circulating on social media which shows a teenage boy kicking the driver’s screen door and shouting abuse. I appreciate that this incident caused concern to those on the bus and who were at the bus station, I would like to thank them for their assistance in the matter.”
South Wales Police say that the teenager has been released under investigation.
PS Pudner added: “We want those using the Quadrant Bus Station to know that we won’t tolerate anti-social behaviour in the city. This arrest demonstrates that police will act and reduce the impact ASB has on the local area.
“Tackling ASB and disorder is a priority for us and officers will continue to crack down on those causing trouble.”
