Bank Holiday bin collection changes in Carmarthenshire

Carmarthenshire Council are reminding householders that there are changes to bin collections over the May Bank Holiday.
From Monday, May 3 until Friday, May 7, collections will take place one day later than usual. Friday collections will be picked up on Saturday instead.
These changes also affect garden waste collections.
The council is asking people to put bins out by 6am on the day of collection, and to remember the maximum number of black bags you can put out is three a fortnight. They’re encouraging people to recycle as much as possible in the blue recycling bags and to put food waste in the green bins which are collected weekly.
The recycling centres in Trostre (Llanelli), Wernddu (Ammanford), and Whitland are all open on Bank Holiday Monday. The recycling centre at Nantycaws (Carmarthen) is currently closed for public safety reasons following a fire. To book an appointment please visit Carmarthenshire’s website or call 01267 234567.
