Two Port Talbot men charged with drugs offences after Police intelligence operation

Two men have been charged with drugs offences after a number of intelligence-led warrants were executed in the Port Talbot area.

Officers from South Wales Police’s Intelligence and Organised Crime Unit recovered drugs and other property during Operation Wizard which was held earlier this week.

Shane White, aged 33, from Port Talbot has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine, and possession of the class C drug diazepam.

Daniel Baker, 29, from Sandfields, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely cocaine, possession with intent to supply the class B drug ketamine and possession of a stun gun which was disguised as a torch.

Both are due to appear at Swansea Magistrates Court today (20th August).

Detective Chief Inspector Dean Taylor said: “Tackling drugs supply and the misery it causes in the communities of South Wales is a priority for us and I would urge anyone with information about those involved in drugs to come forward.

“The smallest piece of information could be vital in helping us to build the bigger picture of those involved in supplying drugs in our towns and cities.”
