Neath-based Low Cost Vans announces major rebrand and expansion

Neath-based Low Cost Vans, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of commercial vehicles, has completed a major rebrand to reflect its expanding range of services.

For more than 20 years the Neath-based company has developed a national reputation for supplying vans at the best price – hence the name. But during that time the company has evolved far beyond just vans, and now says its name no longer reflected its diverse range of services which also includes cars, fleet services, motorhomes and flexible hire options.

The new name – the lcv group – was developed in partnership with creative consultancy the Future Collective, and better reflects the company’s vision for the future. More than just a change of name and logo, the company has already started to expand its workforce, creating new employment opportunities from its headquarters in Skewen, which has itself had a makeover with a head-turning new façade.

The name Low Cost Vans will be familiar to many for its many sporting partnerships, most notably as a long-term commercial partner of Swansea City AFC. These partnerships will continue with the new brand, which was first unveiled at an event for select partners at Swansea.com Stadium which included a Q&A with rugby star Shane Williams.

CEO Rod Lloyd said: “I’ve owned the brand name Low Cost Vans for more than 20 years and, while I’ve always loved the name, it no longer reflects the business as we’ve diversified. Now is the right time to rebrand, and it’s not something we did lightly. The lockdowns of recent years allowed us the time to develop our ideas, and we spent many long hours working on the new elements of the business.

“It has already had a positive impact inside the business with members of staff taking on extra responsibilities and opportunities emerging for new colleagues to join the team.”
