Best panto nomination for Swansea Grand’s Beauty and the Beast
Swansea Grand Theatre say their Beauty and the Beast panto was a Christmas cracker – and has been nominated for FOUR national awards.

The theatre says that everyone who saw its last panto loved it, and they knew they’d delivered a Christmas cracker.
This has now been endorsed by FOUR nominations for The Pantomime Awards 2023: Best Pantomime (Over 900 seats), Best Choreography, Best Lighting and Best Set Design.
The competition for these awards was fierce, with UK Pantomime Association’s 64 judges attending over 240 venues to see over 700 performances, far and wide across the United Kingdom.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the Trafalgar Theatre, in London’s West End, on Tuesday 11April 2023 at 7pm and the theatre say they’re keeping everything crossed for their Beauty of a panto.
Swansea Grand Theatre Manager, Grant McFarlane, commented; “Beauty and the Beast broke Box Office records and we received hundreds of positive comments from our audiences, so to be nominated for these awards, especially, Best Panto, really is the icing on the Christmas cake.”
This year’s panto, Cinderella, is also breaking records – with advance ticket sales way ahead of previous years.
