Swansea’s Grand Theatre pantomime, Beauty and the Beast has picked up two coveted gongs at the UK pantomime awards – including best panto!

Beauty and the Beast, Swansea Grand Theatre’s 2022/23 panto, won two awards at the UK Pantomime Association Awards last night, including the coveted award for Best Pantomime in venues with over 900 seats.
The theatre also won Best Set Design for its incredible, dazzling digital set.

Swansea Grand Theatre manager, Grant McFarlane commented, “We couldn’t be more delighted, what a great night for Swansea Grand and Imagine Pantomimes! Audience feedback last year was exceptional, and it’s great to see that reflected in this award. Panto is alive and well in Swansea and we look forward to seeing many more people return to visit us this year.”
Swansea Council cabinet member Elliott King said, “It’s great that the Grand has won this national recognition. The theatre, its staff and partners continue to deliver top class entertainment for the people of Swansea and further afield.
“Tickets are already selling well for this year’s panto, Cinderella, and we can be sure that it’ll be a brilliant experience for those who attend.”
Swansea audiences are in for a treat again this year with another digital panto, Cinderella. Advance ticket sales have outstripped previous years and the scene is set for festive fun and frolics.
