Woman suffers ‘life-threatening injuries’ after being struck by a car in Morriston

A 40-year-old woman has suffered 'life threatening injuries' after being struck by a car on the busy A4067 Neath Road in Morriston.

The incident happened near to the CastleBingo roundabout at 6.20pm on Wednesday (31 January).

South Wales Police say the woman was struck by a white Chevrolet Captiva vehicle and suffered “life-threatening injuries”

Police are now appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage of the accident.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “We were called to a serious road traffic collision on the A4067 Neath Road, Morriston, Swansea at approximately 6:20pm on Wednesday 31st January 2024.

“A 40-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a white Chevrolet Captiva travelling south generally towards the roundabout with Castle Bingo. The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries. Next of kin have been informed.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or those with dash-cam footage who may have seen the collision or events leading up to it, to contact us via 101, quoting occurrence 2400036408.”
