The incident took place between 3:00am and 3:05am on Sunday 19 October, outside the popular bar and restaurant on Uplands Crescent. Police say the venue’s outdoor signage was damaged, and they are appealing for information to help identify two individuals captured on CCTV.
One man is seen inside the venue wearing a white shirt, blue tie, beige trousers and brown shoes, holding a drink. The second is pictured outside on a leaf-covered pavement, wearing a light blue jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans and dark shoes.
Business raised concerns weeks earlier
The venue first addressed the incident in a Facebook post published on 20 October, describing the behaviour as “creative” but costly.
“To the two late-night fitness enthusiasts spotted outside BrewStone… we couldn’t help but notice you’ve found a creative new use for our outdoor signage — as both a pull-up bar and a punch bag,” the post read.
“As an independent business, repairs like this are costly and we’d really appreciate your help putting things right.”
At the time, BrewStone said it hoped to resolve the matter directly, but police have now released images and a reference number as part of a wider appeal for information.
