The flanker has been out since dislocating his left shoulder when scoring a try against Argentina in the Quilter Nations autumn series opener.
After missing the Six Nations, the 26-year-old British and Irish Lion is in line to boost an Ospreys side chasing the URC play-offs.
The Ospreys will also have their seven-player Welsh international contingent available, but Jones says he is likely to phase the players returns back into the fold.
Both centre Owen Watkin and lock Gareth Thomas did not feature in any of the Six Nations encounters, whilst hooker Dewi Lake and fly-half Dan Edwards had heavy workloads. Scrum-half Kieran Hardy came off the bench five times, and flanker Harri Deaves sole appearance was as a replacement in the heavy defeat to England.
“We are going to break them up and phase them back in,” said Jones in his pre-match conference.
“They have had varying minutes, and there are also some personal circumstances, but they will all be seen over the next couple of weeks.
“The guys that have been playing while Jac has been injured have done a terrific job, but it’s always brilliant when you bring a Lion back into your environment and selection.
“It’s good for the competition for places and competitiveness around training. He has added a great energy to the environment, on and off the field.
“He’s chomping at the bit to put on an Ospreys shirt.”
Jones’ side come into the match in tenth place in the table, one point behind both Connacht, who they travel to next weekend, and the Vodacom Bulls, who occupy the final play-off place of eighth in the standings with six games to go.
For hosts Benetton, it is very much a must-win match to stay in contention, being six points further back from the Welsh side, and Jones believes his side will need to be at their best to get anything from the game.
“Similar to ourselves[Benetton], they will be looking at results and thinking that some have got away, and they could be sitting in a more comfortable position. It is the nature of the league,” continued Jones.
“One thing they have is a very deep squad with huge depth. Their budget is particularly strong, they’ve spent well and have a lot of international experience to call upon, even when their current Italian and Argentinian internationals are away.
“They have threats everywhere. They have a good set-piece, a good maul attack, x-factor players, physical players that can play through you, and backs who are as powerful as forwards.
“When they put their best team out, they’ve got good cohesion, and they play to their potential; they are a very good side who are coached well. We need to make sure we are at our absolute best on the weekend.
“It’s always a very competitive league, but the last couple of seasons, the difference between fifth and sixth and 14th is very little. It’s a couple of wins and some bonus points.
“I think every game now will go right down to the wire, and every game will be important in dictating who will finish in the top-eight.”
