A 23-year-old model from Burry Port is one of six young Welsh people trying to keep a bar open on the Zante strip, with a prize pot of up to £10,000 riding on it and a vote every week on who gets the sack.
Elanna, a content creator, is in the second series of Bar Hansh, in which the six run a Welsh bar on the Greek island. The S4C show has given her one summer’s head start on the rest of them.
She spent a season as a holiday rep in Ayia Napa, and tells viewers in the opening episode that it should count for something. “Fun fact about me is that I have worked as a rep in Ayia Napa so I think that’s going to help me in Bar Hansh,” she says.
She is just as sure about the move from catwalk to bar floor. “I’ve walked runways and now I’m ready to walk down the strip in Zante!”

The format is the same as last year. The six work together to keep the bar trading, take on challenges that add money to the pot, and at the end of each week have to vote one of their own number out.
S4C says Elanna was looking forward to meeting people from other parts of Wales, and had never met anyone from north Wales before filming. Three of her five teammates are from Gwynedd and Anglesey.
Three north Walians, a TikToker with 700,000 followers and a bricklayer from Llangefni
According to S4C’s cast notes, Trystan, 21, from Bangor, is a flooring apprentice who films interviews on nights out for TikTok and Instagram, and says he would do it full time if he won. Seren, 21, from Y Felinheli, works on the ferries between Holyhead and Dublin and reckons her ability to read people will help when the votes come round.
Tyler, 22, from Llangefni, is a bricklayer who says he gets on with everyone and is single but not looking.
From the south, Hamish, 21, works in an Italian restaurant in Cardiff and says his one aim is not to be the first one sent home. Elan, 20, from Pontypridd, is a content creator with more than 700,000 TikTok followers who says fake and moody people are her biggest pet peeve, because “life isn’t that serious”.

Kevin Williams: 27 years as Kelvin, then a phone call he took for a prank
The bar’s boss this year is Kevin Williams, who played Kelvin Walsh in Rownd a Rownd for 27 years. He said the offer came out of the blue.
His first thought was that one of his friends was winding him up with a prank call, he said. “I didn’t quite believe it until I got an official email afterwards.”
He said the contestants would decide their own prize. “It’s all in their hands how much money ends up in the pot, so they have to work together as a team.”

After nearly three decades in a soap, he said the hardest part had been “being myself”, adding: “I wasn’t Kelvin here, I was myself.”
Last year a Swansea eyebrow technician, this year the prize has doubled
The first series went out last October with Angharad, a 23-year-old eyebrow technician from Swansea, among the six, a £5,000 prize and Ameer Davies-Rana as the boss.
This time the pot can reach £10,000, depending on how the six get on in the challenges, and the voting-out twist stays.

The first episode went out on S4C at 10pm on Tuesday 27 October, and the series is dropping through this week on S4C Clic, Hansh’s YouTube channel and BBC iPlayer, with English subtitles.
Whether the rep from Burry Port makes it to the last week on the strip, or is the first to be voted off the bar, is in the hands of the five people she shares the bar with.
