Those who go to the ticket office in their local school uniform after 3pm on term-time weekdays will not be charged.
It’s open daily until 5pm, with last admissions at 4.30pm. Entry for children under five continues to be free during all opening hours.
Oystermouth Castle was originally built in 1106 after Gower had been captured by the Normans. King Edward I visited in 1284.
Visitors today can head back in time to taste life in medieval times.
Features include 14th Century artwork, a 30ft-high glass bridge and private staircases leading from vaults to rooms once used as banqueting halls.
The castle is managed by Swansea Council and jointly managed by Friends of Oystermouth Castle. The free entry offer runs until schools break up for the summer holidays and then from the end of the holidays to the end of September.

Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “This is a great offer for parents and grandparents picking up the children from school and looking for something low-cost, entertaining, fun and educational.
“As the cost of living crisis goes on we want to take pressure off local families and to offer children free access to the castle. It’s a great place to visit.”
Adults accompanying the children will pay just £2 entry.
