A Swansea drug dealer has been jailed for five years after police uncovered an operation that saw almost £1.5m pass through his bank accounts.
Jason Partridge, 41, ran the enterprise from his home in Fforestfach — described by a senior detective as a “modest home” — despite having no legitimate source of income.
Partridge and his partner, 40-year-old Samantha Phillips, were the subject of a drugs warrant at the address in February 2024.
During the search, officers found a large quantity of Class C drugs in boxes addressed to Partridge, according to South Wales Police.
They also discovered chocolate tubs stuffed with postal receipts for recorded deliveries — one of them showing a value of £15,000.
A price list for the items Partridge was selling was found on Phillips’ phone, the force said.
Financial investigators established that between February 2018 and April 2024, more than £1.48m in unexplained credits had passed through six accounts linked to Partridge.
There was no evidence of any legitimate income to account for the money.
In October 2025, Partridge changed his plea to guilty on a charge of possessing criminal property.
He also admitted possessing the Class C drugs pregabalin, zopiclone, bromazolam, tramadol, anabolic steroids and diazepam.
He was sentenced to five years in prison.
Phillips admitted being concerned in the supply of anabolic steroids and diazepam, and was handed a four-month sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Detective Inspector Richard George said Partridge had been running “a million-pound drugs operation from his modest home” with no legitimate employment or other legal work.
He said Partridge had wanted to “cheat the system” and “get rich quick with the aid of illegal substances”, adding that it had “blown up in his face”.
The detective said Partridge had involved his partner in the enterprise and brought her “very close” to joining him in prison.
He said the sentence showed the force would continue to target those involved in the illegal drugs trade, who would “be brought to justice in the end”.
