Hundreds of schools across the Swansea Bay area will close or move lessons online on Wednesday and Thursday as Wales faces record-breaking heat.
A Met Office red extreme heat warning is in force for both days, covering Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire, with temperatures forecast to reach 36C.
The warning carries a high risk to life, and schools say extreme classroom temperatures, poor ventilation and a lack of shade make it unsafe to teach as normal.
Each of the three councils has taken a slightly different approach, so parents are urged to check their own school’s status before setting off.
The lists below are correct as of around 4.30pm on Tuesday 23 June.

The disruption follows the same red warning behind a plea to check on older neighbours and relatives across Wales.
It is also the warning behind a bus firm’s tongue-in-cheek explanation of why services have felt so hot this week.
With closures still being confirmed through the evening, some schools may be added after publication. The heat is expected to peak on Wednesday and Thursday before easing towards the weekend.
