Without Alex Craig who is suffering from a hamstring injury sustained in the defeat to Edinburgh last weekend, 6ft 7′ second-row Jones get his chance as one of 17 pathway products in the Scarlets 23.

The back three of Ioan Nicholas, Tom Rogers and Tomi Lewis is the same as the one that started against the Scottish outfit last time out. Johnny Williams continues his partnership with Eddie James in midfield, whilst Wales duo Sam Costelow and Gareth Davies pair up at half-back. Ioan Lloyd continues to be ruled out with a hamstring niggle.

Kemsley Mathias is handed the number one jersey and packs down alongside skipper Ryan Elias and Sam Wainwright.

24-year-old Jones partners Sam Lousi in the second-row, whilst Taine Plumtree will be looking to get one over his ‘old man’ John the coach of the Sharks playing at blindside flanker in a back-row that also contains Vaea Fifita and Dan Davis.

There are a couple of changes among the replacements with prop Steff Thomas and scrum-half Kieran Hardy coming back into the squad.
