The Coles family, who run the famous White Hart Inn in Llanddarog, have launched “Beer in the Veins” — a new online series following the day-to-day reality of running one of Wales’ most unique pubs.
The thatched-roof inn, which dates back to the 14th century, has long been a landmark in Carmarthenshire — but now it’s reaching a whole new audience online.

Viewers can expect an unfiltered look at life behind the bar, in the kitchen and inside the brewery and distillery, as three generations of the same family work side by side.
From early morning brewing sessions to busy evening service, the series captures the graft, humour and passion that keeps the business running.

Since taking over the pub in 1994, the Coles family have transformed it into far more than just a local.
Today, the site includes a brewery, distillery, restaurant and even cider production — with everything run by the family themselves.
Marcus and Jessica lead the kitchen, while other family members handle everything from desserts and front-of-house service to brewing and bar work.

Behind the pub sits what is described as one of Wales’ most distinctive craft distilleries — producing whisky, rum, vodka and gin entirely from scratch.
The brewery also creates a wide range of ales, including experimental flavours such as beetroot, nettle and chilli.

The new YouTube channel aims to showcase not just the business, but the lifestyle behind it — blending centuries-old tradition with modern innovation.
The first episode of “Beer in the Veins” is now live, with more set to be released throughout the year.
And with its mix of history, family and craft, the series could put one of Wales’ oldest pubs firmly on the digital map.
