The travel tech giant will roll out the extra routes from Sunday 15 February, just in time for the school half‑term rush, with six new services each way running daily between London, Heathrow, Swindon, Reading, Newport and Cardiff.

Swansea city centre and Swansea University will also see more green coaches pulling in, with additional services linking the city to Bridgend, Bristol, Newport, Cardiff and London.

FlixBus says demand for affordable long‑distance travel has surged — and Wales is right at the heart of its expansion plans.

“The affordable, reliable and comfortable journeys we offer are extremely popular with people travelling between London and Wales,” said Andreas Schorling, FlixBus Vice President for West Europe.

“We’re proudly providing more access to our much‑loved brand than ever before.”

The growth comes through an expanded partnership with Cardiff‑based operator Watts Coaches, which joined the FlixBus network last year and is now adding two new FlixBus‑branded Temsa HD12 coaches to its fleet.

“Our first year with FlixBus has been incredibly rewarding,” said Jo‑Anne Watts, Director of Watts Coaches. “We’re proud to be growing with the go‑to coach name in Wales and beyond.”

FlixBus says the new routes mark the start of a wider 2026 expansion, with plans to grow at the same pace as last year as the company pushes deeper into the UK market.

“Kicking off our 2026 expansion strategy is a milestone moment,” Schorling added.

Tickets for the new services are available now via the FlixBus app and website.
