Wales back Murray missed the derby defeats by Ospreys and Dragons, but has been passed fit to face the French side. Tongan second row Sam Lousi also returns from a back injury and will lead the side out on his 100th appearance for the Welsh region.
Pau are flying high in the Top 14, but are currently bottom of Pool 4 having lost two from two.
Scarlets are also winless, but sit in the top four places thanks to a losing bonus-point against Bristol Bears.
They would be guaranteed progression to the knockouts among Europe’s elite with a bonus-point win, and if Pau leave empty-handed.
It is five changes in total for the West Wallians from the New Years defeat in Newport with Archie Hughes also in at scrum-half, with Veteran ex-Wales and British and Irish Lion Gareth Davies missing out.
The midfield of Eddie James and Joe Roberts remains the same, with creative duties placed with Hughes and half-back partner Joe Hawkins.
Murray has recovered from the ankle injury he picked up against Cardiff before Christmas and starts at full-back. Tom Rogers and Ellis Mee continue on the wings.
Up front, Kemsley Mathias Henry Thomas continue, whilst there is a switch at hooker with Ryan Elias swapping with Marnus van der Merwe, who is named among the replacements.
Lousi resumes his second row partnership with Jake Ball – another who missed the clash at Rodney Parade. Max Douglas sits out the game because of suspension.
Taine Plumtree has overcome a shoulder injury picked up against the Dragons and packs down alongside Fletcher Anderson and skipper Josh Macleod in the back row.
Promising Wales Under-20s extended squad member Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, 18, could be in line to make his European debut if he comes on.
Speaking ahead of the clash head coach Dwayne Peel said:
“We are all obviously disappointed with the two results against the Ospreys and Dragons. There has been a lot of honesty about where we need to improve and now it’s about how we react against a side sitting second in the Top 14.
“What we need to do is get back on the horse and make sure that we improve. My job is to fight hard… we will not let that week define us.
“We fought really hard to get into the Champions Cup last season and we deserve to be in there.
“We have shown we can be really competitive against top sides like Bristol and Bordeaux, and we still have an opportunity for knockout rugby. This is a huge game for us and one we are all excited about.
“What we’ve shown in the last two [European] games is that we can be really competitive, and what a great opportunity this week against Pau.”
