The 25-year-old’s arrival provides head coach Luke Williams with a versatile defensive option, with Delcroix able to play centrally and at left-back.

Delcroix will provide competition for Ben Cabango and Harry Darling at Swansea, and may go straight into Williams’ side at Norwich City this Saturday with Darling facing a potential three-match ban following his sending off against Sheffield United in midweek.

The Belgian international will wear the number 28 shirt in SA1 and will bring top-flight and international experience to the Swans squad.

Delcroix, who was born in Haiti but raised in Belgium, came through the youth ranks at Anderlecht to reach the senior team, making his first-team bow in 2018.

He also had a loan spell with RKC Waalwijk before joining Burnley in the summer of 2023, following their promotion to the Premier League.

He made 15 appearances in all competitions for the Clarets before suffering an ankle injury. He has represented Belgium at every level from under-15s up, winning a senior cap against Switzerland in 2020.
