Two arrests in alleged Kingsway ‘crow bar’ assault

South Wales Police have arrested two men following reports that a 49-year old man was was found with a head injury close to the Potter’s Wheel pub on Swansea’s Kingsway in the early hours of Sunday morning (10 July).

Witnesses to the assault described two men walking away from the scene, one of whom was carrying what was described as a ‘crow bar’.

Daniel Croft, aged 36, from Waun Wen, Swansea, and 32 year old Joshua Morris, also from Swansea, have been charged with Section 18 – GBH with intent.

Daniel Croft has also been charged with possession of an offensive weapon. They have been remanded into custody.

South Wales Police Detective Inspector Gareth Jones said: “I would like to thank members of the public for their assistance with this incident and to reassure the local community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection to the assault”.

The 49 year old victim remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
