Pembrokeshire Senedd Member announces cancer diagnosis
Preseli Pembrokeshire member of Senedd, Paul Davies has announced that he is being treated for prostate cancer.
Former leader of the Welsh Conservatives, Mr Davies made the announcement on social media where he praised the NHS staff that have been looking after him for their advice and support.
In his message, Mr Davies urged people to “listen to your body” and to contact a GP “if you feel that something isn’t quite right”.
Mr Davies says his constituency office remains open and he will continue to carry out his duties to the best of his ability.
53 year-old Paul Davies has served as the Member of the Senedd for Preseli Pembrokeshire since 2007.
Politicians from across the political spectrum have wished Mr Davies well, including Labour First Minister Mark Drakeford and Plaid Cymru’s Elin Jones.
