Police name Port Talbot couple charged after dine and dash spree
South Wales Police have named the Port Talbot couple they have subsequently charged with fraud and theft offences following dine and dash sprees at local restaurants.
39-year-old Ann McDonagh, from Sandfields, Port Talbot, has been charged with five counts of fraud and four counts of theft for shoplifting.
41-year-old Bernard McDonagh, from Sandfields, Port Talbot, has been charged with five counts of fraud.
Both will appear at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on 8 May.
The arrests come after staff at the Bella Ciao Italian restaurant in Swansea’s Castle Street claim the couple’s family of 8 left without paying a £329 bill after ordering “the most expensive things on the menu”.
Other eateries in the area have also claimed the same couple have also made off without paying after racking up huge bills.
