Disruption as firefighters tackle blaze in town centre Ammanford flat

Firefighters have been tackling a fire this morning above a nail salon in Ammanford.

Emergency services have been called to an ‘incident’ on College Street after fire broke out above a nail salon in the town centre.

Police have asked people to avoid the area while firefighters tackle the blaze, with the road closed indefinitely.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said:

“Emergency services are dealing with an incident on College Street Ammanford, close to the square.

“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey.

“Thank you.”

A statement from Sophia Nails Ammanford said:

“Fire at the flat of our shop.

“We have to close the shop today. Please contact with us to reschedule appointment. So sorry for this inconvenience. Thanks so much for always support us.”
