6.00 – Seven-furlong two-year-old nursery handicap
The consistent Jazzy Bay was unsuited by the drop back to 6f on his handicap debut but can make amends back over his optimum distance. He’s suited by a quick surface and is selected to defeat Ariane Sky who looks well treated on her debut run but needs to prove her stamina for this far. Cutlass is bred to appreciate this longer trip on his handicap debut and could also get involved.
6.30 – Seven-furlong handicap hurdle
Flyta had plenty in hand when shedding her maiden tag over C&D last time and should be able to defy a lenient 3lb rise.
She’s shown a willing attitude and a liking for quick ground since being switched to turf, with her greatest danger looking to be Distinct Spirit. That rival has been running into form since a lay off and is well treated on his old novice efforts.
Name The Day is probably a bit flattered by her novice win, but it’s still early days in handicaps, so she can’t be dismissed either.
7.00 – One-mile classified stakes
Knightmare belatedly got off the mark last time and is chosen to follow up in a similar contest. He beat an in-form rival over 1m on fast ground that day and a repeat would be enough to see off King Of The Dance. That rival has proven consistent over 7-8f on varying ground for some time and looks the obvious danger. Lhebayeb was a winner on the AW in the spring and will also be a threat if building on her recent revival.
7.30 – Mile-and-a-half maiden stakes
The standard is set by Summerson, who has shown enough to land a maiden having finished runner-up on both starts to date. However, this longer trip isn’t guaranteed to suit on breeding, with Seacole the challenge. She built on a promising debut when midfield in a strong maiden last time, where she demonstrated she handled fast ground.
Cracking Beauty, who left her debut effort behind when placed last time is likely then to fill the remaining place on the podium.
8.00 – Mile-and-a-half handicap
Bumper winner Pueris King has been progressing on the flat and can complete the hat trick. He needed every yard when upped to 12f last time, and a number of the horses he beat that day have won since, so a 3lb rise looks lenient.
The admirably consistent Just Adair didn’t enjoy Epsom last time but holds solid claims back on a flat track, while Zaraquelle gained a breakthrough victory last time so is also respected. She’s only gone up 5lb and isn’t fully exposed over middle distances.
8.30 – Six-furlong handicap
Legendsoftheland arrives in the best form. He’s won 2 of his last 4 and his latest placed effort off this mark has been franked. That run was all the more pleasing as it came over an inadequate 5f and he should find this much more suitable.
Diamondsinthesand failed to stay 1m last time, having refused to settle, but could prove the biggest danger back down in trip while Symbol Of Hope is also feared. He hit the front too soon when midfield last time and is likely capable of better.

Racing at Ffos Las gets underway at 6.00 pm with the opening handicap and continues through to the final handicap on the flat at 8.30 pm, offering a full evening of competitive action.
