Read on for a preview of and tips for the Ffos Las card, courtesy of Boyle Sports, who have all the horse racing odds.
3.37 – Six-furlong maiden stakes
Eskimo Pie has become frustrating but she sets a clear standard on form and is given a final chance dropping in class. She will need a stiff test at the trip but if getting it she can defeat Mollstar who will appreciate the drop in trip but may just lack fitness.
Both Mystic Veil and Dixie Blue are newcomers with appealing pedigrees who come from yards which can get them ready first time.
4.07 – Five-furlong handicap
Dark Sun went close at this mark last time and should be competitive once again, but the selection goes for the Coffee Pod who is expected to improve on his third at the same venue, when well backed eight days ago.
Happier scored last time out to get off the mark for the year dropping into classified company for the first time last time out at Wolverhampton, and will be tasked to back that up returning to handicap.
4.37 – Seven-furlong maiden stakes
Drum Bay may ideally want further than this in time but showed a willing attitude when runner up over seven furlongs on the all-weather first time out.
That form has already been franked so if building on that experience he can defeat Isabella De Vega who also finished strongly on her debut. Her yard’s horses tend to improve second time out and if settling she should be no different.
Narrjoo chased home a useful looking rival on debut on fast ground and a repeat of that would also see him on the premises.
5.10 – One-mile handicap
Ivat Ghia was given too much to do on her handicap debut but still finished runner up and may be able to go a place better off the same mark in an open race.
She remains unexposed at a mile, but the selection goes to the largely consistent King Of The Dance who has shown himself to be versatile ground wise at this venue and has a seven pound claimer taking the ride.
Nammos arrives in decent form and will be suited by the fast surface so could also pose a threat.
5.40 – One-mile handicap
The consistent John Harrison flattened out when upped to ten furlong last time but can gain some compensation back at a mile. His previous run has been boosted and he looks well treated racing off the same mark here.
Brave New World left his previous form behind on his final qualifying run when looking in need of this step up to a mile. He can chase the selection home ahead of The Stone Power who had a valid excuse last time but was consistent previously.
6.10 – One-mile handicap
A Daughter’s Love romped home over her rivals at the venue last week and is difficult to side against on that form. Hat-trick seeking Belle of Kt appeals as the one to chase home David Flood’s improver ahead of Meet me in Meraki.
